Where is the building located?
A - St. Barbara’s Estia is located at 3625 West 4th Avenue, Vancouver BC (4th & Alma). The building is near a number of amenities such as grocery stores, local restaurants, clothing shops, bookstores and transit services.

How big is the building?
A - The building currently houses 30 tenants. All units are one-bedroom with a living area and kitchen. The common areas of the building include a recreation room with a television and full kitchen. There is also a communal laundry room and rooftop garden.

What are the eligibility requirements?
A- All applicants are scored in terms of need for low-income housing.

Is the building wheelchair accessible?
A - Absolutely. The units and common areas of the building, including the rooftop garden, are wheelchair accessible.

How do I become a member with the Hellenic Housing Society of BC?
A - To become a member, complete the application on the “Get Involved” page, and mail your application to 3625 West 4th Avenue, Vancouver BC, V6R 1P2.

How much does a membership cost?
A - There is a $10 membership fee. Your membership fee goes towards enriching the livelihood of the tenants living in the building at St. Barbara’s Estia, for social activities and events throughout the year. Memberships are good for one year from your date of enrollment.

How can I become a volunteer?
A - To become a volunteer, please contact the Hellenic Housing Society of BC by emailing info@hellenichousing.ca. Volunteers are always needed to assist with the organization and execution of the various events and activities throughout the calendar year.

How can I make a donation?
A - A donation can be made at any of the events throughout the year, or by mail to the Hellenic Housing Society, 3625 West 4th Avenue, Vancouver BC.

Will I get a tax receipt for my donation?
A - Yes, tax receipts will be issued accordingly.
